On a hilltop in west Austin, Northwest Hills has several major highways for easy access to downtown Austin. When the weather is warm, locals spend a good deal of their time hiking and boating at Lake Austin, touring
Covert Park at Mount Bonnell, or strolling the
Ann and Roy Butler Boardwalk.

Fall festivals are held annually at neighborhood schools. There's also a Fourth of July parade, the Deepwoods Drive Halloween Tour, the

Schools
The
Austin Independent School District is the official school district for Northwest Hills. Doss Elementary and Hill Elementary are both wonderful schools in this neighborhood.
